The Institute of Health and Technology, Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi has announced Sale of Admission forms for its full time programmes for the 2024/2025 Academic Sessions.
A statement by the Hospital’s Head of Public Relations, Mr. Cephas Hough say the programmes offered by the Institute include Higher National Diploma in Community Health; National Diploma in Health Information Management and National Diploma in Biomedical Engineering.
The Statement explained that those seeking admission into the One year HND in Community Health also known as Community Health Officers (CHOs) programme must possess:
- 5 Credits at SSCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB or GCE O/L at not more than 2 sittings which must include English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Possession of current practicing license by CHPRBN Abuja
- CHEW Certificate with at least 2 years post qualification experience,
- A good honours degree in Health Education, Public Health, Anatomy, Biology, Psychology, Biostatistics, Biochemistry and Microbiology.
Those seeking admission into the 2 years HND programmes must possess the above listed requirement except University degree.
Candidates seeking admission into the 6 Semester National Diploma in Health Information Management are to possess 5 credits in ‘O’ Level at SSCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB or GCE ‘O’ Level which must include English Languages, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than 2 Sittings.
For the 4 Semester National Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, candidates must possess at least 5 credits at SSCE/WAEC/NECO/NABTEB or GCE ‘O’ Level including English Languages, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, while a credit or pass in Woodwork, Metal Work, Auto Mechanic, Basic Electricity, Basic Electronics and Technical Drawing will be added advantage.
Application forms for HND costs N20,000, while those for National Diploma programmes cost N10,000.
Interested candidates are to pay into BSUTH SCHOOLS REVOLVING FUND ACCOUNT No.1016048190 Zenith Bank, after which they will present the Teller to the Bursary Department in exchange for receipt with which they will be issued admission forms at the Office of the Institute Registrar.
Sale of Forms will begin on 6th May, 2024 and close on 8th July, 2024.
Aptitude test will hold on 8th July 2024 while screening of successful applicants will be on 9th July 2024.
Aptitude test and interview attracts a fee of N5,000 each.
